Veterans Group Calls on Congress to Impeach George W. Bush and Richard Cheney:

"ST. LOUIS--On March 30, a national veterans' organization called for the removal of President George W. Bush and Vice-President Richard Cheney for crimes the group charges were committed during the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

In a letter sent to each member of the US House and Senate, Veterans For Peace (VFP) stated that "...This administration's war on Iraq, in addition to being increasingly unpopular among Americans, is an unmistakable violation of our Constitution and federal law which you have sworn to uphold. In our system, the remedy for such high crimes is clear: this administration must be impeached."

David Cline, a decorated Vietnam War combat veteran and VFP president, said in a prepared statement to the press, 'We do not make this call lightly and as former members of the US armed forces, we take our responsibilities as citizens very seriously. For that reason we believe that when our government conducts a war of aggression on Iraq and commits a growing and appalling series of what must legally be considered war crimes and crimes against humanity in the execution of that war, it violates Article VI of the US Constitution, the War Crimes Act of 1996 (18 U.S.C. -2441), and numerous international treaties which are legally binding on our nation.'

Cline continued, "We are not the first group to call for impeachment. We have decided to add our voice to the call. All the reasons given for the invasion have shown themselves to be half-truths or misleading. The conflict continues to drag on taking the lives of our soldiers and innocent Iraqis. It is clear that George Bush does not intend to change course in an effort to right this great wrong. He has had enough time in his second term to begin a shift and he has not. It is time to remove him from office."

Veterans For Peace is seeking individual and organizational supporters to work jointly on the effort to impeach the President. "

Took a look at the Toyota Prius last night ...

It drives very nice!!

But unfortunately in California if you want the nice steroe option you also have to get the navigational system, in other words the package that has what most people would want is not available in California according to Antioch Toyota.

I am going to check at other dealerships to see what they can do at getting a Package 5.

The whole point of getting a Hybrid is to lower my insurance, car payment, nad gas bill so I do not want to have a high car payment again because of all the damn options!

We want the Side-curtain airbags, and alarm, but really do not need the $3000 navigation system, I can read a map!

So we will see what we find.

The other inexpensive car that we are considering is the new (non-box) Scion, it looks a lot better and I need to check the gas mileage.

Anyone have either a Prius or a new Scion and want to share any experiences?

The iPod is working again!

The 2nd Gen 20 gig iPod was locked up and wouldn't reset, I thought it was toast!

I just had to put it aside for a week and let the battery die out and it finally reset when I plugged it in.

I thought it would work fine after a recharge, nope!

before I could copy off the songs I needed it completly reset an lost all the music and files, DAMN!

Then I started having trouble with my FireWire card as it had been sitting in my backback and got s little bent, and now gives IRQ_NOT_EQUAL errors in XP on 2 different laptops so I needed to get another FireWire card and get to ripping CDs again!

Well after a few days of ripping CDs and downloading the stuff I was missing the iPod is back up to speed, and my temper while driving is lowered once again!

Anyone else have MP3 player woes?

This Weather Sux!

I usually like the rain, but the overcast skies and the washed out colors from the rain and mist make it hard on my eyes.

Trying to focus on all the grey details on a 75 mile commute trip is hard to do, I can't wait for spring!

Well I have been hoping this would be a good film, and it looks like old Gerogie will finally fufill his promise!!

It looks like he will keep to his words about what all fans have expected with the lava planet, and Obi Wan and Annakin's final battle (which will put him in the Darth Vader suit, after we think him dead!)!!

So the mistakes made in the first 2 movies will most likely be overlooked in this end to this prequel trilogy.

I don't mind the first 2 movies to much, I just hate it when things are dumbed down to make the movie acceptable to a wider range.

I am looking forward to the light sabre battles, and the forming of the Emperor and Vader, and the destruction of the Jedi, maybe we see Yoda take off to Dagobah, hhmmmm ...

Now we just have to wait until May 19th!

Yesterday Was My Wife's Birthday ...

So we went to the Embarcadero and Pier 39 and walked around, we took Bart to save the sanity from driving in to S.F.!

After that we went back home and just had some dinner at Chili's.

We had a great day and the weather was fantastic!
