We finally got our Prius ... Well the paperwork is done, we are just waiting on the car!!

Well, it is on its way up the state from LA (shipment) so we should be driving it by Wednesday or Thursday!

We will finally save some gas as we have traded in both our 2001 Ford F150 (4.6L V8) and the 2000 VW GLX Turbo Beetle (1.8L).

Both cars are hitting that 5 year mark or over and we need something reliable for the long commute and the gas prices are killing us.

In the bay area it is pretty high, possible the highest in the country, at 2.89 to 2.99 a gallon for the good stuff, the cheap 87 is about 2.69 to 2.79 a gallon.

That is totally outrageous, but I do not see it ever coming down very much again.

In fact as more and more people by the hybrids and this summer when all the manufacturers unveil their new releases the gas prices will most likely go up so the oil companies can make more $$!!

We have sworn off Starbucks so we can save some money as well, you do not want to even fathom how much we were wasting there! (2 people sometimes 3 times a day, shit!)

We are trying to get a better hold of our finances so we can save some $$, pay off credit card debt, etc.

I am still so happy that we were able to get the Prius with our crappy credit, our payment is not fantastic, but we can re-fi with our credit union once we get a few things off our credit report.

Man, taking a look at your credit report will ruin your day, there are always things there that you thought were clear and done, staring you in the face!

What a week, I hope the car comes soon!
